DAY 79: HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. Spend Time With Dad Today.
From the moment that you first look upon your child when they are born, you connect to them in a way that can’t be seen or broken. It’s unconditional love.
In the beginning, you chase after them as they take their first steps, wanting to guard them from every tumble and fall. You teach them and guide them to try and keep them safe from the dangers of this world. It’s exhausting!
You watch them grow older and become their own unique individual. During that time, they can be loud, messy, dirty, and stinky, yet you love them just the same. They cause you anxiety and push your stress level to heights you never imagined you could survive. And when they start to date and/or drive, oh, the sleepless nights!
You become the maid, chauffeur, coach, teacher, whatever it takes to help them succeed. Your life for 18+ years is put on hold as everything revolves around them. You provide for all their needs and most of their wants. You care for them, often leaving you too tired and with no time left to have any life of your own. Your child became a big part of your identity for probably 1/3 of your life.
And then, one day, they leave to start their own life. You are happy for them. You are happy for you, too, because now you can finally focus on yourself. Many parents give up their dreams and careers when they have a child so that they can invest in their child’s hopes and dreams. Their happiness often becomes what you live for… and pay for.
Now that they’ve moved out, maybe you didn’t expect to wonder where they were, all the time, and if they are ok. What if they need you? Will they call? Should you call them? That’s when you start to really miss them.
Can you imagine what it must be like for God… knowing where and when you were going to be tempted, the exact moment when you would fall short or even fail.
It must be unbearable for God to go through all that pain, having to know which of us will die without knowing him, and not being able to do anything about it. God loved us enough to give us choice, and He has to watch us choose poorly over and over again.
That’s what Come Alive 2025 – You Were Made For More is all about. It’s about claiming responsibility for your life and your walk with Jesus. It’s all about improving physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Then we celebrate our progress on September 1st with REVIVAL. (I hope that makes God smile!)
Then we start the second 100-Day Challenge. We work on training up our family and friends in their walk with Jesus. Then, on December 9th, two weeks before Christmas, we celebrate with REVIVAL for our friends and family. This year, give them the gift of eternal life! As 2025 comes to an end, we are looking forward to one more chance for REVIVAL in 2026.
Finally, the third 100-Day Challenge, where we really educate ourselves in the Word of God to be able to speak to others with conviction. People of other faiths need to hear the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus, too. By now, you should have your testimony of what Jesus has done in your life down. It’s March 18th, 2026, and if you started from the beginning (or took the time to read through and catch up), then you have completed 300 days. Your life will be completely different.
I can’t wait to hear all your success stories that day. I’ll post on the website for all to see… the Glory of God… his faithfulness… and how we were blessed beyond measure! Amen!
Let’s Make Heaven Crowded!!
Enjoy your family! Be Blessed.
