Kingdom Calling: DRAFTING ALL SENIORS
Miss Bess is summoning all seniors back to active duty. Your government needs you! The trumpet is sounding. Rise, answer the call, and ring that bell.
Google AI Overview says: The United States has not had an army draft since 1973, but conscription remains an option in the event of a national emergency. To prepare for a draft, all male U.S. citizens and male immigrants between the ages of 18 and 25 must register with the Selective Service System.
Today's typical 18-25-year-olds may struggle to defend this country as effectively as previous generations did. The impact of COVID on humanity has been profound. Social skills have declined, and many now prefer remote work- a concept that was virtually nonexistent 40 years ago. For some, it might be difficult to accept that combat is even a feasible option. Furthermore, some individuals may question America’s position on the war, feeling unsure about which side to take. Many believe there is no longer a need for black or white views… just grey. God help us if we ever face war. Amen.
I’m referring to those over 50 (and the spiritually mature), individuals who recall when this nation stood proudly and earned respect from other countries for its commitment to faith. While different nations may not have shared the same beliefs, they admired America for its conviction. A nation grounded in hope. A nation dedicated to their God and the guidance provided in His book, the Bible.
Stop waiting for this country to collapse; we've already hit rock bottom! It's time to rise up. (Turn off the TV. Most of it’s all falsehoods and absurdity, merely another distraction and a waste of time.)
Believe that your heartache plays a role in God’s plan to assist others. The challenges you've faced have imparted important lessons. These experiences will empower you to help others struggling with similar issues find the peace and joy that only Jesus Christ can provide.
Many of us have experienced life’s lessons without wanting to. Let's end that cycle right here and now! Share the wisdom you've gained along the way- it's truly invaluable. You’ve already faced the hard truths, so why let others go through the same hardships? Together, we can break this pattern. You've come through stronger on the other side! Show others the way.
Now that you’re up, let's reach back and help others out together! Remember, we want to make sure that no man, woman, or child is left behind- No, Not One! I’m truly counting on you. Miss Bess really needs your support. One little old lady just can’t do it all by herself.
I am merely the mouth. God is the heart. We make up the body of Christ. Where are you, arms and legs, hands and feet, eyes and ears? Scripture tells us there is strength in prayer when two or more gather in His name. Please make some time to come and pray with me.
Google AI Overview says: “Two or more are gathered in my name” is a phrase from the Bible, specifically Matthew 18:20, which means that when two or more people come together in the spirit of Jesus Christ (in “His” name), He is present with them; essentially signifying the power of unity and community in faith.
Key points about this phrase:
· Source: This phrase appears in the New Testament, in the Gospel of Matthew.
· Interpretation: It is often interpreted as a promise that Jesus will be with a group of believers when they gather together in worship or prayer, united in their faith.
· Significance: This verse is used to emphasize the importance of Christian community and gathering together for shared purpose.
Stand Up and Take A Stand
Be that Beloved Angel that my grandmother was to me. Show up for your children, your grandchildren, someone, anyone. So many children don’t have grandparents who live close to them. You can help. Offer to step in and fill that gap. Help restore the lives and families of those who have been torn apart. You know how much that hurts. We have seen it all too often.
No family living near you? Have you and your family had a falling out, maybe you haven’t kept in touch? Or maybe you have a prodigal child, or two? This is no more than proof that the devil roams this earth; we live in a fallen world.
Jesus wasn’t appreciated by His family. If that happened to Him, it could happen to you when you stand with Him. Improve your self-esteem and sense of worth. Get out of the house. You need plans and purpose to head down to that local chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse Christian church you attend multiple times a week and offer your services to someone who looks like they could use a hand or a friend. It will change both of your lives for the better.
Many adults lack social skills; this may inadvertently be passed on to their children. How can you teach what you do not already know? Young adults today must navigate the complexities of friendship, especially during COVID, when interactions were often limited to screens: through text, email, or phone calls.
They lack an understanding of what a friend truly is and how to be one in real life. The feelings of isolation and loneliness have created a void, altering the way friendship is perceived and nurtured. Many are simply attempting to shield themselves after losing the sense of safety and security we once knew.
This explains why people can be easily influenced by drugs, alcohol, premarital sex, gambling, shopping, and numerous other distractions that aim to fill the void in their lives. The devil lurks in the shadows, ready to strike at the perfect moment to offer the illusion of alleviation from that hurt and pain. That exploits someone’s misfortune; such behavior is truly evil, and God disapproves of ugliness.
Even negative attention is still attention. It's truly disheartening. Assist them in feeling less unnoticed in this world. Set aside your phone. Make eye contact. Be a role model. Simply listen.
Tell the devil he can’t have their souls!
Where are you, men of courage? We need you now more than ever. Young men often have no true understanding of manhood. If they express feelings, society deems them less masculine. If they are overly assertive, they are considered too aggressive. Each day seems to bring a new definition, yet the true essence remains unchanged.
God urges us to endure until the very end. Let’s tackle this with total honesty. Like Christ, we should share everything openly. Consider giving your time, especially if you're retired, viewing it as a new responsibility. You can still play pickleball on weekdays when the courts are free, but make sure to be available for others when they require your support- because your presence is essential to their success! Everyone values an extra helping hand now and then.
You possess skills- your ability to solve problems using your own intellect and hands, rather than relying on a screen. You hold the potential to transform this country. It's essential to pass your skills on to future generations. Influence as many young men as possible. Consider joining a men’s Bible study. I urge you! I will gladly plead if necessary.
Many children grow up without a father. Some may latch onto you, absorbing everything you say. Keep in mind that the one who seems the hardest to connect with could end up surpassing your expectations. They might be scared to express how much this opportunity means to them, fearing it will change the dynamic of your relationship. They prefer to keep things just as they are. The more you feed into them, the more they will flourish.
Transform your life and positively impact others! You have the power to make a difference in the world. Skilled with your hands? Share your expertise. Plumber, electrician, mechanic, farmer.
Many men today might not realize just how different your responses to simple questions can be compared to theirs. Often, they don't ask because they don't know to. Share your experiences! Offer them a fresh perspective to ponder. Present them with possibilities they might never have considered on their own.
Share a phone number that connects them with caring, God-fearing guidance. Present meaningful Christian-centered options that reflect a more fulfilling path than those from your past life.
Ladies, we've all been there. You recognize that utterly exhausted woman, on the verge of a breakdown. There's no need to look around- you can hear her kids and see the chaos. How about telling her how much you admire her struggle? It really resonates with your own experiences. Let's bond over that shared journey.
Let her know she’s not alone, especially when she feels that way. Buckle up, buttercup, and offer a helping hand! You don’t need to lift anyone up, just be there. Little ones love to color, so why not sit down with some crayons? This way, you can give Mom a few moments to breathe and gather her thoughts. Allow her the space to make a phone call in peace. She truly seems weighed down. Even a simple smile in their direction could spark a bit of hope. I assure you, it can make a difference.
Have you ever thought about how many single parents are out there? Why not pick one and spend a little time with them? Take a moment to remember all of their children’s names and even their pets' names. (Writing them down can be super helpful!) This little effort can be your wonderful conversation starter when you see them. A child—and their parent—feels truly special when someone remembers their name and shows a genuine interest in their lives.
